  1. Any field marked by a downward-pointing arrow has a “smart list,” a pull-down menu containing common terms for the field, such as Mr.  and Ms.  in the Prefix field.  When you choose a term from the smart list, it is automatically inserted in the field.

  3. You can add, delete, or modify the terms on any smart list.  For more information, see the command “Edit smart lists” under “Entry menu.”

When you press Command-L from a field that has a smart list, a smart list Inquiry dialog box opens.  Use the dialog box to insert terms that are not currently on the smart list pop-up menu in the field, add new terms to the smart list, and open the Edit Smart Lists dialog box.  See the section “Using a smart list Inquiry dialog box” in your manual for instructions.
